Today was more successful than expected, and it feels great!
I have to admit I really stepped up my game after yesterday's shameful event. The lectures for today's agenda were long and dense but I managed to understand and actually learn all I read, so I feel very satisfied with the work done. Also, I took the time to draw some anatomy and make a review of the important concepts, which will be very beneficial as time goes by and certain definitions are forgotten.
Though the studying went great, the cooking didn't even happen. I didn't really stepped out of my office... but I did find some to give away a lot of my college & test prep books for those who really need them but can't afford them (yay, less clutter!).
So that's all for today, not much happened but I still consider it a successful day :)
Cheers!
My Science Map - A Diary of Sorts
Hello, welcome! Before we start, I'd like to clarify this blog is for myself, a journal of my preparation as I go along the journey of getting accepted into Medical School. Currently, I'm a biologist who enjoys spending her free time trying out recipes and looking through home decor books all day long (I would if I could!). Enjoy!

Day two
Everything that goes up has to come down, right? Well, that's exactly what happened to my productivity today.
I started off the day with a great mood, plus a very appetizing breakfast, so you can imagine how good my morning was. As the afternoon arrived, my laziness took the best out of me and had me rummaging through my desk drawers. There, I found nothing more and nothing less than my high school iPod! Yes, a small device people my generation used to have and now have completely forgotten thanks to the iPhone. So, back to my story... I charged the thing for a bit, plugged my headphones and the oh so cheesy music started to play. And then, just like that, my productivity was gone. During those many hours of music listening, I danced, sang and even managed to surprise myself with how well I remembered those lyrics I hadn't heard in years. After that, I was pretty much drained and my concentration was lower than the oil stock market.
Hence why tomorrow WILL be a much better, well seized day. Because I know it will be extremely necessary, I even got myself some pretty strong coffee :) Aaaand I'm pretty excited about a recipe I'd like to try (if I find all the ingredients at the fridge tomorrow).
Cheers! (& sweet dreams...)

Day 1
Today is day one, I'm filled with energy, excitement (as much as a person can have when starting his or her MCAT prep), curiosity and coffee buzz. I decided to start with the Biology subject, since it's my major and what I'm most comfortable with.
I have to admit, reading has been a dread. I'm taking forever to finish each section of the chapter so I won't even express how long this is going to take. BUT... I know this is just the beginning and it'll be worth it all after I'm done and accepted in my dream school.
At least I got around to redecorate my desk/study area before I started, gotta admit it's helping quite a lot. Anyhow, I need to get back. Those sections won't read themselves.
This is going to be fun, a good challenge! I hope.
